Joanna Makayla Emelo

Jo Jo was born on July 23,2005. She was 6 weeks early. Joanna weighed 4lbs 3oz. I was very scared that she was coming so early. My due date for Joanna was September 4, 2005. Melo was at school and I wa at home with Lil' Jon. Lil' Jon was cleaning up his toys and I was sitting on the couch watching tv. All the sudden I felt like i was peeing on myself. Of course I didn't think I was in labor. I had no contractions and it was just way too early for her to come! So I called Melo and I told him that I thought my water broke. He came home and I drove us to the hospital. We went to Stanford Hospital because they have the best neonatal.

While we were waiting for the Dr., I was crying..I didn't know what was going on. I just wanted my baby girl to be okay.

Three years after Melo and I dated, we got pregnant. Lil' Jon was born on October 29,2003.

DJ was born on November 8,1999.

How We Met

It was almost the end of my freshman year in high school and Melo's senior year. I was getting ready for our High School rally when Melo came in to see if we needed any help. We started talking...just small talk. Then he started to get detailed about what type of guy I would talk to. Questions like...would you talk to a guy who had a kid, wears glasses, etc. Mainly questions about himself. As some of you know Melo had DJ his senior year and wore glasses.
He gave me and Vero a ride home that same night and we continued to talk after that day. One month later he asked me to be his girlfriend. We started dating the day of prom...May 13, 2000!!
